We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen, capable of translating complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. As a Data Scientist, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, design experiments, analyze data, and present findings in a clear and compelling manner.
Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to extract valuable insights from various datasets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals, formulate relevant data science questions, and the appropriate solutions.
- Develop predictive and prescriptive models to address business challenges, optimize processes, and enhance decision-making.
- Apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, trends, and correlations in data.
- Build, test, and iterate on models to improve accuracy, performance, and usability.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality, availability, and proper integration into analytical pipelines.
- Interpret and communicate findings to business leaders and team members in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. An additional degree in business/management would be a bonus.
- >4 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and model development. Proficiency in R would be an added bonus.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical concepts.
- Experience with Tableau to communicate insights effectively.
- Familiarity with database systems and data querying languages (SQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex business problems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Business acumen and the ability to understand and translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies is a plus.
- Candidates with experience across both roles, Business Analyst and Data Scientist would be preferred.
Other Requirements
- Ready to work in PST time zone ((2/3 PM IST – 11/ 12 AM IST))
- Further flexible time-blocking can be created as work starts
